John W. Morgan Garden Services supply and fit fencing and gates in Devon, Somerset, Bristol, Bath & Surrounding Areas
A close-board fence is made to measure, as shown in the top picture. It is the best when a solid fence is wanted, e.g. for privacy or security.. With this we arrive on site with the timber and build the fence to fit, an example of this is shown in the second picture. This is stronger than panels as by using rails each post supports its neighbours.
We supply the standard panel fencing
in the common lap larch style. We also supply close-board and ornate panels
and trellis.
The third image displays an example of raised decked with a fitted fence panel.
Concrete posts slotted for panels can also be supplied.
Traditional picket fencing is built on a sturdy frame of 100x100mm posts with 47x70 rails. Examples of picket fencing can be found in the header image and on the gallery
page.
The advantage of picket fences is that it is a strong fence which whilst providing a dog proof boundary warms up the garden behind as wind turbulence is being filtered through as well as flowing over as it does with all solid structures. This means that this type of fence will cope with sites subject to regular strong winds. Where privacy is vital the double sided, hit and miss variant is used.
